Womb to World

So sorry it has been a week and I have not updated about the birth of my son. A lot has gone on and we stayed in the hospital for four days with only minor complications with both Landon and I. (Baby is fine now) I plan to write all about the events soon but as you can imagine I have been so sleep deprived I have not wanted to spend even a minute on the computer. Landon and I are still learning to breastfeed and I think this was/is the hardest thing so far. Other then that we have the most perfect precious baby. He rarely cries unless hungry and it is the quietest hoarse cry. I love it!

Landon was born via c-section at 7:41am on Wed., April 29, 09. He is 8lb and 8 ounces and 19 inches long. fiAs doctor was pulling him out he remarked that Landon head would have never have fit through my pelvis and he was so high up that he said it possibly would have been another 3 weeks before he arrived on his own. He received scores of 9 & 9 on his apgars. I just have to add he is beautiful. Perfect round c-section head, perfect soft skin. I was able to keep most of my wishes for the birth.

I have been very sore and tender but for the most part have been up and mobile. Since coming home its been quite hectic with Bella having a seizure, breastfeeding trouble, and dealing with anxiety and very mild post partum depression.

Everything is perfect with him though and I love him so much. Ryand and I feel so blessed and are in aw of this gift God gave us. For now I'll leave you with a few teaser pictures.

  1. BEAUTIFUL!!! I have been checking daily for an update!! Im sooo glad things went so well...Landon looks great!! Just remember w/a C-section even if you feel pretty good you are still healing on the inside so try not to over do it!! As for the breastfeeding...its not always easy in the begining...but you can do it..people make it seem like the baby will right away know what to do and that is not always the case!! I highly suggest a lacation specialist if you continue to have issues they are a great source of info! Hang in there Landon will catch on!! Your a MOMMY!! YAHOO!! Congratulations again!! Take Care!!
