5 months

Pictures will be updated tomorrow after I upload. Landon has a shot only appointment tomorrow so I will update weight and height afterwards.

* Your hair has fallen out on half of your head and is growing back in

* You reach for our mouth and nose now and touch them so very carefully.

* You like to practice screeching really loud

* You think your hillarious and belly laugh constantly

* You watch everything I put in my mouth and stare as if I'm doing something funny in there. (Only 1 more month till you can have food)

* You scream really loud when left with others now (First separation anxiety, I presume)

* You do this silly thing where you chew on your tongue

* You are starting to move when placed on a blanket in a circle to reach for toys.

* You do baby pushups when laying on your tummy

* You now roll both directions ( Finally roll from back to tummy)

* While laying on your tummy you scoot backwards and get up on your hands and feet with your butt in the air.

* You have really started noticing our dog and kick and happy scream and reach your arm out for her. She so much doesn't care for your gestures and will stay a good distance from you

*You make this crazy humming/singing noise while you nurse. Its really cute when were at home but when were in public you make mommy get funny looks because something under my shirt is singing

*Your still on breastmilk exclusively

* You got bed between 7:00 -7:30pm and wake up twice a night usually around 2:30am then again at 4:30am, finally waking up between 6:00 and 6:30am, mommy wont let you get up until after 7am though so you sleep in your swing if you get up prior to7:00am

Happy Fall Ya'll

Last night was the first feeling of fall we have had. I ran up to Landon closet and grabbed the first sweatshirt for fall. His cute pumpkin beanie and decided to take him on a walk.
" Where are we going mom? I cant see a thing!"

There was a beautiful Sunset!

Landon told me he wanted to go on the swings. We had to wait for awhile as Soccer practice was just ending at the park and many moms were pushing their babies one last time. By the time it was Landon's turn it was dark but I'm glad we were still able to get some pics. He LOVES swings and giggled like crazy each time we said "weeeeeeeee"

Daddies turn to push.

See he really really loves to swing. I thought it was cute the way he grabbed on with his hands. This was a first for him. He stared at his hands and examined the metal he was holding on to.

It was time to go home as mom and dad were beginning to chill and we had to get ready for daddies soccer game. I cant wait for warm hats, mittens, sweatshirts, Uggs boots, scarves and egg nog lattes from Starbucks. We welcome you with open arms FALL!

Improvments to Sink about

Finally my Kitchen faucet broke. I had noticed the last few weeks some water on the floor in front of it but I figured it was due to washing dishes and spilling some water on the ground. I opened up the cabinet underneath and it was wet in the middle and was dripping out onto the floor. We found out it was the hot water pipe to the faucet so that meant I got to pick out a new faucet from Home Depot YEAH!!!!! I love that place.

BEFORE Picture
After look at all my choices I decided on this black and brass distressed one. I really wanted a new sink but we decided it would be better to get a new sink when we got our new countertops. I picked out one that had four parts for the four holes in the sink so we could do away with the air gap for the dishwasher that is not necessary. The handyman also told me its harmful as it leaks out yucky gases from the dishwasher cycle and instead can be hooked straight to the garbage disposal. Gross! He fixed it for me and now I have a new hand soap dispenser instead I like that idea. He also showed my hubby how to sand all the grey marks on the sink that are from pots and pans hitting the edges and bottom. Wow I didnt know you could do that. Almost feels like a got a new sink out of it.

Baby Model Search, Drinks with Friends, Family, & Neighbors

We were so tired from the wedding but we had to get up for a photo shoot for Landon at 11am. A local Mom from my Stroller Fit group was hosting a 2009 Baby Model Search and I thought Landon would be great at it since he is in the silly giggly phase right now. When we got there they weren't quite ready for us so we went inside the cafe and ate breakfast. Landon was being a silly clown and everyone was looking at him and smiling. They came and got us still all smiles. I took his clothes off so we could put him in a cloth diaper and a necktie. I sat him on a red stool and the smiling ceased he just stared at them. Its like he had stage fright. We were able to get some smirks but not like him to just sit and stare. I'm sure he blew his chance. They said he was super cute and they liked his eyes but I'm sure they compliment each baby getting pictures done. We'll see she will announce the winner by Oct 31st.

Landon was pretty pooped out from the night before and pretty passed out for the remainder of the day. Which was good I just didn't want him to sleep so much that he wasn't able to sleep later that night. I decided to try sleeping him unswaddled. He went to bed at 9pm and slept till 3:30am unswaddled, then he woke at 4:30, 5:30 and then 6:30am. I'm not sure if it was because he was unswaddled or because I messed up his schedule

Later that night we went to my in-laws house for a neighbor party. They have this gorgeous house that sits highest on the hill and looks very different the all the other homes in the neighborhood. Its all concrete and has the pool in the front yard opposed to the backyard. One corner of the house hangs out with no earth under it. Its gorgeous but simply, just unique. On Sunday night when we are over for family dinner many people drive up the huge hill just to stare at the house. Since we are usually in the pool or Spa we humor them and wave Hi to them.

Only a few neighbors came but tons of family and friends showed up. It was fun to show the baby off to those who have never met him and those who haven't seen him since he was a newborn.

Nana had these lights sitting out on the long concrete bench that outlines her backyard. Landon thought they were quite fascinating. I love that he likes holding a prefold diaper or a small lovey blanket, he lools like Linus from Snoopy in the pic above. (Isn't that he one that drags the blanket around)

This is the view from the upper deck. That tall grey piece holding the roof up is a outdoor fireplace with black glass spread in the bottom instead of wood. It was perfect weather outside which was a relief since it has been sweltering outside even into the evening.

The stairs in the previous picture lead up to this top sitting deck. Its almost like a special VIP place you would pay top dollar for at a club. Hehe. Lots of people sat up here during the party but I waited until they were gone to snap this photo. I figured they wouldn't want me playing paparazzi with them.

This is a blurry photo of the main patio in the backyard, you can see the fireplace on the right better now. This is where we have family dinners on Sunday if the weather is nice. Nana uses the built in BBQ in the background and we watch the football game on the TV while chatting over dinner.

Due to me not knowing how to use my SLR camera I was able to capture this odd picture of Landon with his Uncle J. He almost looks like a ghost, pretty cool Halloweenish picture I think.

This is the front yard with the vanishing pool. Landon has enjoyed kicking and splashing in the Spa after Sunday dinners.

This is their living room. It has huge doors that slide open that transform it into an indoor outdoor living room. The right side has this gorgeous loong fireplace that has dancing flames. I cant wait till winter time when we use it again but we will have to be careful as it will be right around that time that Landon learns to pull up and maybe even walk and it can get quite hot.

After all those visitors left he was pretty tired so he snuggled right down in the swing and went to sleep.

Friday Night: Family Wedding

Busy day we had. I closed my daycare a half hour early so I could get ready and head out for a wedding that started at 6:30pm. Since Landon went to the park earlier I knew he would be tired. He slept for the 1/2 hr car ride home so when we got home I tried for 2 hrs to get him to go down for a nap. He was just in a good mood and kept giggling. Finally just an hour before we left I got him to take a nap in his swing. I didn't want to wake him up until the minute we had to leave because I knew he would be up late. So I threw his lil naked body into the car and dressed him in the parking lot. I do have to say he was so handsome. I heard everyone saying oh my gosh look at that baby, he is so cute, look at that outfit, just darling. I would have to agree but hes mine. I picked up this cute little outfit at Janie and Jack.

He was sooooooo good during the wedding just looked around and watched everything going on. He sat on his Pops lap for the most part and I nursed him for the last part. He got very excited when he saw a really cute baby girl sitting in the row behind us and started cracking up.

Here's the happy couple. Theresa and Paul, they married at the Cultural Croatian Center outside in the garden surrounded by trees and a pretty fountain. They had nice reading from the Bible read by several friends and family. Ryans brother Jason was one of the groomsmen.

Beth is in the middle she was a Matron of honor as she is the grooms sister. Beth was in our wedding party also as the Matron of honor. Her son and daughter were the ring bearer and flower girl they were so cute.

Half way through the reception I had to nurse the little man. So out came my nursing cover and under he went. We never nurse this way so he spends half the time trying to unveil himself. During this time we had a champagne toast after each speech and Landon was so interested in what was gong on. He would nurse while the speech was given and then when everyone would clap he pop out from the nursing cover and look all around. It was hilarious. He thought everyone was clapping for him. He did this several time for each speech till he decided to stay out to see what we were all doing. Then the fun began he saw us all holding the champagne flutes and he would reach out to grab it.

He grabbed onto the sides and started sucking the glass and giggling hysterically.

....and staring trying to figure out how to get some.

Then he hit the dance floor with Uncle Jason for some fun.

Then he took Pops for some spins on the dance floor. Look at that smile he loves his Pops.

Nana and him took the slow songs and she managed to rock him to sleep for a whole 5 minutes. Once the slow music stopped and began again he popped back up and started laughing hysterically again.

Mommy and daddy even danced a little and talked about the day they married. Finally it was after 10pm and I knew he had to be tired so we brought his swing in. Quick diaper change, a swaddle, the paci and was out in just a few short minutes. I have no idea how he slept through that loud music and the DJ but he did.

This is Ditter he just became a daddy 8 days ago. Crazy!! We are so excited for him and the birth of his new daughter Samantha I cant wait to meet her and I can see Landon and her running around the backyard at future BBQs.

Ok Daddy its almost midnight we need to go home. The Bride and groom invited us to go downtown and party at their hotel but we will have to pass. We have a new little man in our life that needs bright and fresh at 6am. Little Landon is definitely the party baby though and is a flirt with the ladies and dancen fool on the floor. Oh I cant wait till he gets a little older and can talk.

Friday Day : Sitting at the Waterpark

I took the kids to this secret park I like to call it. There has only been a few kids there each time Ive visited. Its perfect for kids crawling through preschool age. Since I only had 4 kids to care for this day I decided to head out to this amazing park. I sprayed all the kids down with sunscreen and then set up a blanket for Landon to chill on under a the shady umbrella of this gorgeous tree. As I unloaded the van I laid Landon down with some toys when I joined him on the blanket he was giggling and squirming. I couldn't help but think how lucky I am to have him and all of the time, money and waiting and effort It took him to get him here. Hes everything Ive always wanted and nothing could make me happier.

While we played on the blanket I decided to see if he was able to sit in the tripod sitting position and HOLY CRAP he can. I grabbed my camera and started snapping away. When I focused on his face I noticed how excited and proud he was. Although I would like to keep putting him in this position until he is able to hold it longer then the 30 seconds he did today, I wont be. He needs to learn to scoot and crawl first. Sitting will come after the scooting and crawling as he will push backwards and discover that he is able to sit. I dont want to take any of the joy away from his desire to do new things on his own. I learned awhile ago in my ECE (Early Childhood Education)classes to never prop a baby in the sitting position. So at 4 months and 3 weeks I know that he is capable but I will let him discover this on his own from here on out.

The water was quite cold today then the last time we visited this park but I put Landons feet in anyways. My daycare kids love him so much that they ran over to sit with him. Since I was alone today with no employees I couldn't get any pictures of the 2 of us, So I set him on the edge of the little river and he sat for just a few seconds for me to get a picture of him. He looks so small but so big already. I had to keep him covered since I cant put sunscreen on until 6 months old. I love the surfshirts with the 50SPF especially since my boy is a pasty white complexion.

Sitting like a big boy with his friends

This is the waterfall that dumps the water down. Once it hits the blue rubber mat its only about a 1/2 inch deep which will be perfect for when Landon is crawling.
The river flows separately and it is about 2 inches so this will be fun later when he can drop a boat in it and chase it as it flows down.

One of my daycare moms met us there with her daughter and new baby brother who is 2 months younger then Landon. I love a nice warm day (with a breeze) being able to lay the babies out on a blanket with some toys and watching them kick and coo. Babies love to be outdoors and watch the trees, feel the wind, and listen to the sounds. Here are some pics from our last visit about a month ago when Landon was only 3 months.

Fascinated by the water on his toes
Thanks Ms Kegan for capturing these photos of us. I will cherish these moments.

....and this is what my son will look like later tonight for a wedding we are attending.

Look at that little overcoat with a tweed hat and slacks.
The bow tie oh my gosh darling!
